Teeing Up the NFT and Driving Auction Buzz
Thirty-six celebrities charmed the crowds while digitally autographing a virtual golf ball using gesture-based technology in a custom-built kiosk. The autographed ball was blockchain minted into a one-of-one NFT, along with 100 fixed-priced for-purchase collectibles.
Pre-tournament promotions included earned media, digital advertising and on-site signage. Traffic was driven to a pre-auction website where visitors could learn more and sign up to receive alerts when the auction went live. During the Championship, the auction was promoted on-air by NBC, and through digital and social channels—all using footage captured in the previous two days.
