Mark S. Kopinski is a chief investment officer, senior vice president and senior portfolio manager for American Century Investments®, a premier investment manager headquartered in Kansas City, Mo. He is based in the company's New York office.
Mr. Kopinski, who worked for American Century Investments from 1991 through 1995 and then rejoined the company in 1997, oversees the teams that manage the company's Global and Non-U.S. Equity portfolios. Mr. Kopinski has worked in the financial industry since 1983. He left the company in 1995 to join Federated Investors in Pittsburgh, where he was portfolio manager of the firm's Asia Pacific fund. Prior to joining the company in 1991, he was a senior analyst for Salomon Brothers in their Tokyo office. Previous to that, he was a Sanyo securities analyst, also in Tokyo.
Mr. Kopinski holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Monmouth College and a master's degree in Asian studies and Japan from the University of Illinois. He is fluent in Japanese.
