Avantis Investors™ Hires Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
Avantis Investors™ , an investment brand from global asset manager American Century Investments®, continues to build out its investment team with the hiring of Mitchell Handa. Handa serves as a senior portfolio manager for fixed income strategies. Avantis Investors is led by Eduardo Repetto, chief investment officer, and Patrick Keating, chief operating officer. Launched in 2019, Avantis Investors offers a range of broadly diversified, tax-efficient and low-cost investment solutions. Assets under management for Avantis recently crossed $1.5 billion since launching five equity strategies in September of last year.
"Mitch is a seasoned portfolio manager who has demonstrated expertise building and managing fixed income strategies," Repetto said. "I'm excited to have him on the team."
Handa joins Avantis Investors from Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), most recently as a portfolio manager for systematic strategies for seven years. He also served as the firm's ETF capital markets representative. Prior to that, he worked as a portfolio manager and a senior trader at Barclays Global Investors/BlackRock for six years. Handa holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the City University of New York, a master's degree in physics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master's degree in financial mathematics from The University of Chicago.
