Cihan Kasikara
Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Cihan Kasikara is senior vice president and chief operating officer for American Century Investments®, an independent, privately owned, pure-play asset management firm founded in 1958. He oversees American Century’s broader business management, investment operations, technology, transformation, security and administrative functions. He also serves on the firm’s Management Committee.
Prior to becoming COO in 2026, Mr. Kasikara led the Global Investments Transformation & Service Delivery team that has primary responsibility for investment management strategy and transformation, middle and back-office operations, fund administration, investment performance and client reporting for American Century and Avantis Investors® portfolios and clients.
Mr. Kasikara joined American Century in 2020. Previously, he spent 19 years at Franklin Templeton, where he held various roles in global operations.
He served on the board of directors of the International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication (ISITC) from 2018 until January 2024. He also served as chair of the Investment Company Institute’s Securities Operations Advisory Committee and as buy-side chair of the DTCC’s Institutional Trade Processing Americas Regional Advisory Council.
Mr. Kasikara earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Business Administration from Regis University.
