American Century Investments, the $240 billion* global asset manager, ranked as one of the 100 best adoption-friendly workplaces of 2024 , the firm’s 16th appearance on the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s list in its 18 years. “The Foundation is pleased to recognize organizations leading the way in making adoption and foster care supported options for every working parent,” said Rita Soronen, President and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. “By offering best-in-class benefits, these organizations are demonstrating the importance of being equitable to all the ways families are formed.”
In addition to reimbursing up to $10,000 of eligible adoption-related expenses, American Century offers 10 weeks of paid parental leave after the birth or adoption of a child. American Century’s other family formation assistance includes infertility and cryopreservation benefits when medically necessary as well as surrogacy benefits.
“Workplace policies, benefits and culture have a significant impact on employees’ and their families’ health and well-being. As a firm that directs more than 40% of our profits to medical research, we have a particular conviction to positively impact the health and well-being of our team who works so hard for our clients’ financial health and global health,” said Sarah Cossa, senior vice president and Chief People Officer of American Century. “We are honored by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s recognition of our policies and benefits that number us among their 100 best adoption-friendly workplaces.”
