Carla Cantreva-Baessler

Carla Cantreva-Baessler is a Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Analyst for American Century Investments^®.

Carla co-manages the Emerging Markets Sustainable Impact strategy and provides fundamental equity research and analysis for the Emerging Markets, Emerging Markets Sustainable Impact and Emerging Markets Small Cap strategies. She joined American Century in 2016 from Fred Alger Management, where she was Vice President and Research Analyst on their Emerging Markets Equity team. Prior to that, Carla was Vice President and Senior Research Analyst with PineBridge Investments. She has also held roles at Bear Sterns & Co and J.P. Morgan Fleming Asset Management. Carla has been in the industry since 1993 and has spent her entire career dedicated to emerging markets.

Carla holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Faculdade de Tecnolgia de São Paulo, a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (São Paulo) and a master’s degree in Business Administration from New York University.
