If you decide to invest in the recommended portfolio, the underlying fee generally ranges from 0.25% to 0.40%.
If you pay for a one-time session and decide within 90 days that a financial plan will work better for you, the $150 will go toward the financial planning fee.
There are no fees to change from one Journey portfolio to another; however, there may be fees if you are transferring from another firm. If you are in a taxable account, you may incur taxes when you file your return. Please check with a tax advisor before making a change.

Personal Consult
How It Works
Complete our online form to request a session with a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). You will receive an initial phone call to discuss your needs and choose a one-time advice appointment or financial planning sessions (usually two to three).
What to Expect
During a one-time advice session, our CFP can talk through topics such as investing goals and needs, a recommended asset mix, budgeting, the next step to take with your investments or answer a specific financial question, including about withdrawing funds for retirement, taking social security, investing for college and converting to a Roth IRA. If you decide you need more during the session, no problem. The $150 fee you pay for a one-time session will go toward financial planning sessions described here.
Financial planning may include discussions about all the above in two to three sessions for the one flat fee of $350. At the end of the sessions, you will receive a detailed financial plan for your path forward.
Pay for your session directly from your bank or deduct the amount from an existing non-retirement American Century account, which may be a taxable event.
